Developing Bankable Agricultural Opportunities in Emerging and Frontier Markets
What We Do
Our Services
Designing, De-Risking and Managing High-Value Agro-Industrial Projects
We originate, de-risk, and manage large-scale agricultural projects with integrated processing, leveraging economies of scale and aligning technical, ESG, and financing requirements to make them investment-ready.
Project Origination
Identification and development of untapped agricultural value chains into bankable investment platforms suited for international financing.
ESG & Risk Structuring
IFC-compliant ESIAs, ESG governance frameworks, and risk mitigation frameworks tailored to institutional investors.
Capital Raising
We help raise funding from DFIs, ECAs, and international investors in collaboration with our financial partners at A&A Agri Capital.

We design bankable agricultural projects in emerging and frontier markets,
focusing on untapped value chains that can be made climate-resilient and scaled.

We favor high-value agricultural ventures of at least 2,500 hectares or $75 million in CapEx,
with the potential to generate substantial commercial upside while
delivering meaningful economic and social impact.
Our Way of Working
We design projects to meet the requirements of Development Finance Institutions and Export Credit Agencies, with financing structures that often include 65–70% senior debt, supplemented by equity and quasi-equity investors.
Each project follows a disciplined, institutional-grade process:
Opportunity origination and concept development
In-country project coordination and supervision
Full technical, agronomic, and financial feasibility
IFC-compliant Environmental & Social Impact Assessments (ESIA)
ESG framework design, governance, and risk mitigation
Capital raising with DFIs, ECAs, and international investors
Leadership
R&R was founded by Adrian Per Rösiö, a Swedish entrepreneur descended from Per Rösiö, the agricultural reformer who established Scandinavia's first model farm and agricultural college and founded Sweden's National Federation of Farmers, thereby ushering Scandinavian agriculture into a new era.

Grounded in this tradition of agricultural reform and rural development, R&R Frontier Services has since 2007 focused on emerging and frontier markets in West Africa and South Asia, where agricultural value chains are often held back by fragmented land ownership, donor-driven interventions, and weak market integration.

The firm was established on the belief that the structural constraints affecting many rural economies today resemble those that once limited agricultural progress in Scandinavia. In the late 19th century, Sweden was one of the poorest countries in Europe, and rural deprivation drove mass emigration. Comparable pressures are still evident across parts of the developing world, and climate change is likely to intensify them further.

R&R’s leadership philosophy is therefore rooted in the conviction that frontier markets must undergo the same kind of agricultural transformation that once reshaped Sweden. Just as agricultural reform helped rescue Scandinavia’s rural economy and laid the foundations for long-term prosperity, R&R believes similar progress today depends on organizing fragmented farming communities into professionally managed agricultural platforms of meaningful scale, with the commercial discipline, technical rigor, and market integration needed to build viable and competitive value chains.

Hydrological Services
R&R also provides specialized services in the rehabilitation, dredging, and maintenance of irrigation-related water bodies and conveyance systems, including settling basins, rivers, canals, and associated hydraulic infrastructure.

Through our sister company, ScandiDredge, we provide integrated solutions for the rehabilitation of rivers, canals, reservoirs, and other critical water bodies. Our services include project design, equipment procurement, commissioning, and technical supervision of dredging, desiltation, invasive aquatic vegetation removal, and flood-mitigation works.
Across West Africa and South Asia, we apply environmentally sound technologies to restore hydraulic performance, improve irrigation reliability, and strengthen resilience to climate-related flooding.
